There are some wedding days that feel less like a perfectly planned event and more like a story you get to live alongside the people you’re documenting. Sarina and Jonathan’s Las Vegas elopement was exactly that. Their day was full of personality, laughter, adventure, and so many little moments that felt completely true to who they are. We started the morning with a group breakfast before I met them at the Flamingo Las Vegas, where we photographed their beautiful details with pink and red accents and documented them getting ready together. Eventually, we sent Jonathan away so Sarina could get dressed and finish her final touch-ups before their first look.

Their first look took place at The Garden Chapel, and watching Jonathan see Sarina for the first time was such a genuine, emotional moment. From there, we headed to Sure Thing Wedding Chapel, where we explored the area and took portraits before their ceremony. Their ceremony was about as intimate as it gets. It was just Sarina, Jonathan, their officiant, and me, and I even had the honor of signing as their witness. Getting to be part of something so private and meaningful is something I’ll always be grateful for.

After they officially became husband and wife, we had so much fun taking more photos around the chapel before heading next door to Downtown Tattoo Las Vegas. Sarina and Jonathan got matching tattoos to commemorate their wedding day, and somehow I ended up getting my very first tattoo with them too. I now have six tattoos, so I fully blame them for starting that addiction.

The rest of their day was spent exploring Las Vegas and stopping at some of the best photo spots around the city. We laughed, wandered, took way too many photos, and really just enjoyed being in the moment. We eventually stopped for a celebratory dinner at In-N-Out Burger, which was a first for all three of us, before making our way to the infamous Las Vegas sign.

We ended the night back at the Flamingo for cake cutting and a few final photos. And honestly, if you know Sarina and Jonathan, I don’t think this day could have been more perfect for them. It was fun, spontaneous, intimate, sentimental, and a little unconventional in all the best ways. More than anything, it felt like them.

Getting to travel to Las Vegas and document a day this personal is something I’ll never forget. From their first look and intimate ceremony to their matching tattoos, In-N-Out celebration, and every little adventure in between, their elopement was such a fun reminder that your wedding day doesn’t have to look like anyone else’s. It just needs to feel like you.
