Madi and Kyle’s proposal in Fairhope, Alabama was one of the hardest secrets I’ve ever had to keep — mostly because Madi is my best friend, my maid of honor, and literally my next door neighbor.

The original plan was to photograph Kyle proposing in a beautiful tulip patch because if you know Madi, you know her obsession with tulips. But of course, the second we arrived, we realized all of the tulips were completely dead. Definitely not part of the plan.

So we improvised on the spot, changed locations, and honestly… it somehow turned out even more perfect than we could’ve imagined.

Even without the tulips, their proposal was filled with so much joy, excitement, and genuine emotion. Getting to capture such a huge moment for two people I love so much made this session incredibly special to me. These are the kinds of memories that remind me why I love what I do so much.

From the laughter to the happy tears and all the excitement afterward, everything about this day felt effortless and sweet. And knowing these two, I already know their wedding day is going to be the absolute sweetest.

This proposal was proof that sometimes the unexpected moments end up being the most meaningful ones.
